The most useful plant ever cultivated by humans. Finally on your skin.
Hemp has accompanied human civilization for over ten thousand years. Fibers, fabrics, ropes, paper, food — few plants have served humans with such generosity. Yet its oil, extracted from the seeds, remained in the shadows for a long time. A wrong that modern cosmetics is finally correcting: because few oils in the world can boast a fatty acid profile as balanced and compatible with human skin.
An ancient plant, a modern science
Cannabis sativa has been cultivated by humans for millennia in Central Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Its seeds — free of psychoactive compounds — have been consumed as food and used in traditional medicine throughout the ancient world, from imperial China to Mesopotamian civilizations.
The oil extracted from the seeds is completely distinct from other plant derivatives: it contains no THC or CBD in significant concentrations, and its cosmetic value lies entirely in its extraordinary lipid profile. It is among the very few vegetable oils to contain gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) — an omega-6 fatty acid that the human body produces in limited amounts and that plays a key role in skin health.
Why skin loves it: the properties
The most balanced omega-6/omega-3 ratio in nature
Hemp oil contains linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) in a ratio of about 3:1 — considered by many researchers the ideal ratio for skin nutrition. This proportion closely mirrors that of healthy human skin, promoting deep biological compatibility.
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA): the great advantage
Extremely rare in vegetable oils, GLA contributes to the health of the skin barrier and reduces redness. Particularly recommended for dry, reactive skin prone to seasonal irritations.
Deep hydration without comedogenicity
Despite its rich nutritional content, Hemp oil has a low comedogenic index — it does not clog pores. Also suitable for combination and oily skin that needs nourishment without a heavy feel.
Soothing and calming action
The fatty acid profile helps soothe red, irritated, and sensitive skin. Also suitable for body areas prone to intense dryness and skin discomfort.
Fast absorption and non-greasy finish
Absorbs quickly, leaving skin soft and silky without greasy residue. Ideal both as a pure treatment and as a base for cosmetic formulations.
Hair and scalp
When applied to hair, Hemp oil:
- Nourishes dry, damaged lengths without weighing them down
- Helps rebalance both dry and oily scalp

How to use it
Face: Pour 2–3 drops into the palm, warm between hands, and apply to clean skin with upward motions. Ideal as an evening treatment or as a booster in moisturizer. Also suitable for combination skin due to its low comedogenic index.
Body: Apply to damp skin after showering to promote absorption. Focus on elbows, knees, heels, and particularly dry or reddened areas.
Hair — pre-shampoo mask: Apply to lengths and scalp, leave on for 20–30 minutes or overnight, then wash as usual.
Lips and cuticles: Apply a small amount to the driest areas for a quick and targeted nourishing effect.
Massage: Excellent pure base oil or carrier for essential oils, thanks to its fast absorption and non-greasy texture.
In DIY cosmetics: A valuable ingredient for serums, creams, hair balms, and body treatments. Its natural green color also visually enriches handmade formulations.
Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
