Natural Essential Oil - Extra Organic Lavender

Natural Essential Oil – Extra Organic Lavender
The scent of serenity, distilled from nature
There is a blooming field, stirred by the late summer wind, that has kept the secret of ancient well-being for centuries. Lavender — cultivated, harvested, and distilled according to organic farming principles — delivers in every drop of its essential oil the best that nature has to offer: a sweet, floral, and delicately herbaceous aroma that calms the mind, rebalances the senses, and leads to deep rest.
The Extra Organic Lavender Essential Oil from the Oroil Line is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers of Lavandula officinalis, belonging to the Labiatae family. It is 100% pure, without diluents, additives, or synthetic aromas — only the authentic essence of a flower humanity has known and loved for millennia.
Botany and tradition
Lavandula angustifolia is native to the Mediterranean region and grows wild on the sunny, dry slopes of the Mediterranean basin, from the coasts of Provence to the southern Apennines. Its aromatic and therapeutic use dates back to antiquity: Romans and Greeks used it to scent baths and promote sleep, medieval monks cultivated it in medicinal gardens, and even today lavender remains one of the most established references in modern aromatherapy.
The name itself derives from the Latin lavare, evoking water and purity. The "Extra" variety — the most prized — is characterized by a particularly rich aromatic profile, the result of careful flower selection and a distillation process conducted with care to preserve its chemical integrity.
Composition and aromatic profile
The Extra Organic Lavender Essential Oil features a balanced phytochemical composition, dominated by its most characteristic components:
- Linalyl Acetate – an ester responsible for the sweet floral note and typical calming action
- Linalool – a terpenic alcohol with a soft and slightly spicy aroma, recognized for its balancing properties
- beta-Caryophyllene – a sesquiterpene with a balsamic profile, known for its purifying properties
- 1,8-Cineole – a terpenic oxide with a fresh and slightly camphoraceous effect, present in low concentrations in the angustifolia variety
This natural synergy gives Extra Bio Lavender oil a complex and harmonious aromatic profile: sweet at the opening, floral at the heart, with a slightly herbaceous and woody base.
Properties and uses
Aromatherapy and diffusion
Extra Bio Lavender essential oil is among the most used in aromatherapy for its relaxing, calming, and balancing properties. When diffused in the environment, it promotes muscle and mental relaxation, reduces the perception of stress and tension, and creates ideal conditions for quality rest. Particularly recommended for evening use or during times of emotional overload and mental fatigue.
External use (always diluted)
Properly diluted in a vegetable carrier oil, Extra Bio Lavender essential oil is used for body massages and localized topical application. Traditionally valued for its toning, balancing, and purifying properties for the skin, it is also used in body blends for both professional and home aromatherapy.
Aromatic blends
Its versatility makes it one of the easiest essential oils to blend: it harmoniously combines with cedarwood, bergamot, geranium, rose, patchouli, and mint oils, allowing the creation of customized synergies for diffusers, room sprays, scented candles, and massage blends.
Quality and extraction process
To obtain 1 ml of Extra Organic Lavender Essential Oil, about 50–100 g of fresh Lavandula officinalis flowers are needed. This high raw material/yield ratio demonstrates the concentration and aromatic potency of the product. Extraction by steam distillation ensures the preservation of the natural aromatic profile without chemical alterations caused by direct heat.
